Muscle definition is obtained through a reduction in body fat whilst retaining muscle mass. It is commonly understood that this is achieved by following a high protein diet and drastically reducing carbohydrates. However this would be risky if we eliminated too many carbs as they are the most efficient way to fuel the workouts.
A small meal with carbs in the morning will help fuel the day whilst higher protein meals later in the day is advised. A reduction in simple sugars like honey, jams, and sweets should be reduced as much as possible as should Trans or hydrogenated fats. Finally, it is essential to drink plenty of water.
